End of free license: is it normal?

Postby karnabal on Mon May 24, 2010 9:55 pm

Hello all!

My free licence should have expired, but I still can launch ALM 7.2, it indicates once "license number exceeded", and when I launch it twice, it invites me to get trial license. Then it says that my 30 days trial license has been downloaded to my computer.

When I use ALM, it seams that I don't have all the (verified) referrers I should.

Is it normal? Is it due to the end of the free license period?

When I'll have my license (not free license), how can I be sure that it will work?

Thanks in advance! ;)

Hello,

The "license number exceeded" message shows up only when the application runs on your network (on a different computer) using the same license key. You can see on which computer you have it running, if you go to the "global.log" files from your computer, where the message shows up. You have there your IP address and the IP address for the other computer. All you need to do is close the application on that computer (maybe it is a scheduled tasks) and then you should be able to run it on your computer.

Maybe the 7.2 version was installed in 10 days trial, if the maintenance plan that comes with your free license has expired.

To see more details about your referrers missing, please run the application and go to the Help -> Report Error menu. In the Comments section, write us the URLs of the referrers you know that have a link to your website and ALM doesn't show them. We will analyze this here and see what happens.

Looking forward for your error report.

Best regards,

Robert
